The man told officers four people forced their way into his home with weapons, demanding cash, drugs and electronics. It doesn’t appear anything was taken, police said.

The intruders handcuffed the man and beat him, cut him and threw hot grease in his face, police said. Four other people in the house were held at gunpoint.

Knight said the intruders were at the house for a significant amount of time. He said eventually the man was able to escape and yell for help.

The intruders then fled with the man’s wife in a silver sport utility vehicle, but she was able to escape shortly after, Knight said.

Descriptions of the intruders weren’t immediately available.
